About Dixie's Mercantile

Dixie knows exactly what it’s like to live in the heart of West Texas. In a small town of fewer than 1,000 people, the sense of community is unmatched, but the shopping options can be a different story. For Dixie and her neighbors, a trip to a major mall or a specialized boutique usually meant a two-hour round trip—leaving local shopping limited to the aisles of the nearest big-box chain stores.

 

Dixie’s Mercantile was born out of a desire to change that. As someone who loves the tactile, personal experience of shopping in person, Dixie decided that if the stores wouldn't come to her town, she would bring the stores to the people.

Dixie personally curates every item, specializing in the premium cosmetics and skincare brands typically found exclusively at Sephora and Ulta. But the curation doesn't stop at beauty; the mercantile also features a hand-picked selection of high-end electronics, toys, fashion-forward clothing, and quality household goods.

 

The best part? Dixie believes that luxury shouldn't come with a "big city" price tag. Every item in the mercantile is sold at a fraction of the cost found at major chain retailers, ensuring that quality and affordability go hand-in-hand.
